Bishop Abangite College of Science and Technology welcomed a new principal following a formal handover ceremony held on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.

Mr. Ceaser Dowdow, formerly the Education Coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY), officially assumed the role of principal after his appointment by His Lordship Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala through a diocesan decree issued on June 21, 2025. Mr. Daudau replaces Rev. Dr. Joseph Migidi, who served as principal for five years.

In a letter from the bishop’s office, read by the diocesan chancellor during the welcoming ceremony, Bishop Hiiboro expressed gratitude for Rev. Dr. Migidi’s dedicated service.

“Your tenure in the administration has been marked by faith-driven service, discipline, and growth in the academic and spiritual life of the institution,” the letter stated.

Bishop Eduardo further urged him to remain steadfast in promoting Catholic teachings and fostering holistic education that nurtures the spiritual, moral, intellectual, and physical development of the students.

In a related development, Mr. Lino Nungo was announced as the new Diocesan Education Coordinator, succeeding Mr. Dowdow.

The ceremony also saw the introduction of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Anoske as the new chaplain of the college, who is expected to provide pastoral guidance and spiritual nourishment to both staff and students.

Speaking at the event, Diocesan Vicar General Rev. Thomas Bagbiowia encouraged students to uphold values of respect and love towards their teachers and school authorities.

“This school is meant to form, educate, and to transform your minds to be good leaders,” he emphasized.

Rev. Bagbiowia also reassured parents and guardians of the Diocese’s continued commitment to delivering quality education and fostering an environment of excellence and character development.
