Board Approves USD 806,230 Budget for St. Theresa Mission Hospital

In the recently concluded Bi-Annual board meeting of St. Theresa Mission Hospital, which took place on 23rd July 2025 in Limuru, Kenya, the board members adopted the budget of 2025-2026, amounting to over USD 806,230.

“I am especially grateful that, together, we were able to pass our well-considered annual budget for 2025–2026, totaling over USD 806,230. This is a significant milestone a sign of our collective desire to continue improving the quality of healthcare and the dignity of life in our region”.

Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY) who doubles as the President of Board of St. Theresa Mission Hospital in his thank you note extended his sincere thanks to all who participated in the session.

“Our time together was not only fruitful but uplifting. The cordial spirit, mutual respect, and shared sense of responsibility that guided our discussions were truly inspiring. Your wisdom, openness, and dedication helped us review our progress, reflect on our challenges, and set a clear and hopeful direction for the future of our hospital”, bishop said.

The local ordinary of CDTY noted that St. Theresa Mission Hospital is in the correct direction and slowly it’s becoming a model of compassionate, excellent, and dignified healthcare.

“From the rich and honest presentations by our Hospital Administrator and Medical Director, and from what we all heard and observed, it is clear that St. Theresa is on the right path. It is steadily becoming a model of compassionate, excellent, and dignified healthcare”.

The prelate also revealed that “St. Theresa Mission Hospital is ready to grow into a Teaching Hospital in the near future a vision that brings us hope and greater responsibility”.

Bishop Hiiboro offered special recognition to the hospital’s dedicated partners: SRF, AMHC, CMMB, Director General of the State Ministry of Health, and CDTY. “Your loyal partnership, encouragement, and shared leadership mean so much to us,” he said. “You continue to help us carry the vision forward and bring healing and hope to countless lives.”
