Pictorial of Fifth week of Lent

On the Fifth week of lent, the faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio gathered in great numbers for a solemn journey of faith and reflection. The massive turnout demonstrated the community’s deep devotion, walking the Stations of the Cross, meditating on Christ’s suffering and its meaning in daily life.

This year’s prayers centered on preserving the environment and fostering peace both within families and across the nation. The faithful were reminded of their responsibility to care for creation, recognizing it as a gift from God that must be protected for future generations.

Additionally, prayers were offered for lasting peace in the country, the state, and every home, calling on all to embrace reconciliation and unity. The event concluded with blessings for a renewed commitment to justice, harmony, and responsible stewardship of the earth.
