Bishop Hiiboro Holds Workshop on Parish Boundaries and Church Land in Central Deanery

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY), Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, on Sunday 28th September 2025, convened a half-day workshop that brought together catechists and members of the Parish Pastoral Councils (PPC) from the Central Deanery.

The meeting, which focused on parish boundaries and church land, emphasized the importance of unity, collaboration, and shared responsibility in pastoral life. It provided a space for participants to listen, share, and reflect collectively on issues affecting the growth and harmony of the Church since they are one body.

Addressing the gathering, Bishop Hiiboro reminded the catechists and PPC members of their vital role as leaders and witnesses of faith. He encouraged them to approach pastoral matters with patience, dialogue, and unwavering dedication, always guided by the principles of faith and service.

“As the first teachers of faith, you carry a great responsibility in fostering communion within the Church,” Bishop Hiiboro told the participants. He urged them to continue building strong bonds of trust and collaboration for the good of the Christian community.
