By John Baraka,

The long-awaited National Examination for the year 2025, has officially commenced across South Sudan, marking a significant moment for students, teachers, and education stakeholders throughout the country. This year, more than 44,000 candidates have registered to sit for the South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE), a milestone that demonstrates the growing commitment to Education and Academic Excellence Nationwide.

At Bishop Abangite College of Science and Technology, one of the prominent examination centers in the country, officials have implemented exceptional sitting arrangements aimed at promoting transparency and minimizing examination malpractice. Each student has been placed alone on a single desk, with at least one meter’s distance between candidates—an arrangement praised for its organization and effectiveness.

School administrators described the arrangement as “magnificent and disciplined,” reflecting the institution’s strong values as a church-based school. Bishop Abangite College, known for its foundation in truth, honesty, and integrity, continues to promote an environment where students are encouraged to excel through hard work and ethical conduct.

“As a church sponsored school, we stand for truth, transparency, and honesty,” an official from the school emphasized. “We believe these virtues are essential in producing quality students who will contribute positively to the future of South Sudan.”

The Ministry of General Education has also expressed confidence in this year’s examination process, highlighting improved supervision, enhanced security of exam materials, and strict adherence to examination guidelines across all centers.
