The Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio (CDTY) has officially launched a new Pastoral Centre for the Western Deanery in Tombura, marking a significant milestone in strengthening pastoral services within the deanery.

The centre was launched on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Eduardo Hiiboro. During the ceremony, the Bishop officially opened and blessed the facility, thanking God for the progress made in enhancing pastoral work in the Western Deanery.

Bishop Hiiboro encouraged priests, catechists, and lay leaders to make effective use of the Pastoral Centre in serving the people of God. He noted that the Centre will play a key role in improving coordination of church activities, pastoral planning, and formation programs across the deanery.

The Bishop further called on church leaders and the faithful to work together in unity and commitment for the continued growth and mission of the Church.

Priests, religious men and women, catechists, and members of the Christian community attended the event and expressed joy and gratitude for the establishment of the Centre, describing it as a blessing to the Western Deanery.

The Western Deanery Pastoral Centre is expected to enhance pastoral administration, strengthen evangelization efforts, and support service delivery to the faithful in Tombura and surrounding parishes.
