The construction of a historic convent by the Congregation of the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of Guadalupe is steadily progressing in Rii Yubu, a spiritual and social milestone for the local community and the wider mission of the Church.

The project, which began in July 2025, is envisioned as a center of prayer, formation, and missionary outreach. From this future convent, the Sisters hope to deepen and extend the cult, love, and devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist, remaining faithful to their charism of perpetual Eucharistic adoration and service to God’s people.

The Congregation has expressed profound gratitude to God for the many individuals and institutions whose generosity has made the construction possible. Special acknowledgment has been given to the Missionary Community of Saint Paul the Apostle, benefactors from Mexico, Spain, and the United States, and, in particular, the vital economic support provided by Sudan Relief. Their combined efforts have ensured that the work continues despite the many challenges often associated with building projects in mission territories.

The convent is intended not only as a residence for the sisters but also as a spiritual beacon for the surrounding area. In addition to their commitment to Eucharistic adoration, the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of Guadalupe are dedicated to Catholic education and a wide range of missionary works, responding to the concrete pastoral and social needs of the place where they live and serve. These initiatives aim to promote faith formation, human dignity, and hope among local families and young people.

The project seen as a sign of long-term commitment to the spiritual and moral development of the region. The presence of the Sisters is expected to strengthen local parish life and provide ongoing opportunities for prayer, catechesis, and service.

Throughout the construction process, the Congregation continues to entrust the entire mission to the intercession of the Holy Mary of Guadalupe. Under her maternal protection, the Sisters reaffirm their desire to faithfully carry out the mission God has entrusted to them, confident that the future convent in Rii Yubu will become a place of worship, learning, and missionary outreach for generations to come.
